Read this: Pop artist Albrecht Behmel will unveil his new series “The Dark Side of MARVELous” for a select crowd at the Héritage Wine Bar located at 467 North Canon Drive in Beverly Hills on Thursday, October 19th from 7-10 p.m. Light refreshments will be served for guests to enjoy along with the artworks and music. Tickets cost $220 and all proceeds from the ticket and art sales will be donated to UNICEF on behalf of earthquake victims in Mexico.
Among the pieces in Albrecht Behmel’s MARVELous show will be spectacular acrylic and ink renderings of super villains Loki, Moonstone, Mystique, Sabretooth, and Thanos as well as an undisclosed large work about the Black Panther, the show’s centerpiece.
“I am fascinated by movie villains,” the award-winning German artist, who is also a bestselling writer, says about his work. “Especially the multi-faceted ones!” Behmel is best known for his unique kaleidoscopic style called The Magic of the Swarms and his private art receptions around the world. “This is one of LA’s finest rooftops at The Heritage Wine Bar located on the Golden Triangle corner overlooking the iconic sign of Beverly Hills,” art advisor Donnalynn Patakos says.
“Art has strong social value. While we unveil new pieces in this beautiful place for people to acquire, we want to be grateful and mindful, given the current catastrophic events the Mexican people have experienced. Albrecht has a genuine philanthropic heart, and we already had the show scheduled, so we offer our international support and brotherhood to people that desperately need help now, through his beautiful art.”
Nate Moore, producer of the Marvel movies, will be at the event along with some surprise guests! To attend the event, please reserve your spot at www.themagicoftheswarms.com
You can also purchase original works and prints directly from the site if you are not in the LA area.
One of the prime movers for this international event in the USA is ANTONIO LUJAK, a Croatian-born model, actor, and producer. Lujak was a professional tennis player when he was first scouted as a model at the age of seventeen. One year later, Lujak won the prestigious title of “Mr. Croatia.”
Shortly afterwards, Lujak was awarded the notable “Best Model of Tourism” title at the Model of the World Competition in Istanbul. Lujak’s modeling career has spanned top names such as Roberto Cavalli, Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, Versace, Olymp, Gilette Fusion, Marco O’Polo, Men’s Health, Glamour, In-Style, Maxim, and Hip Hop Weekly.
During press appearances as Mr. Croatia, Lujak was contacted by casting directors for the British television show CASANOVA for a role in the mini-series. Lujak’s talent as an actor was quickly recognized and offers for bigger projects began to roll in. Fluent in Croatian, Serbian, Bosnian, Italian, and English, Lujak quickly found himself working on international projects such as Heineken’s THE CHASE with James Bond heartthrob Daniel Craig. Lujak is currently attached to a number of projects in pre- and post-production and recently wrapped roles in ROBIN HOOD and STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI. Lujak splits his time between Europe and Los Angeles.
So please come meet Mr. Lujak and other luminaries at the MARVELous event on October 19th! All efforts on behalf of Mexico’s earthquake victims will be GREATLY appreciated. #MarvelStudios #StanLee |
