RUPERT FRIEND JOINS CAST OF CBS ALL ACCESS’ “STRANGE ANGEL”

Jan. 17, 2018 – CBS All Access announced today that Emmy Award nominee Rupert Friend (“Homeland”) has joined the cast of its upcoming original drama series, STRANGE ANGEL.

Friend will play Ernest Donovan, the enigmatic neighbor of Jack Parsons (portrayed by Jack Reynor) who becomes the young scientist’s tour guide into the illicit underbelly of 1930s Los Angeles. A lost soul and drifter, Donovan pulls Parsons out of his humdrum existence and into a strange new religion that encourages its followers to pursue their deepest and darkest desires as a means of bending the world to their will. JIM CARREY TO STAR IN NEW SHOWTIME SERIES KIDDING, DIRECTED BY MICHEL GONDRY

LOS ANGELES – September 14, 2017 – Today, SHOWTIME announced the pick-up of new half-hour comedy series KIDDING, starring Golden Globe® winner Jim Carrey (The Truman Show) in his first series regular role in more than two decades and reuniting him with Oscar winner Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), who will direct the project With a 10-episode first-season order for KIDDING, Carrey – one of the most beguiling, popular screen stars of his time – will executive produce with Gondry, Emmy® nominee Jason Bateman (Arrested Development), Jim Garavente (Bad Words), Raffi Adlan (The Green Hornet) and Michael Aguilar (I’M DYING UP HERE)KIDDING was created by Dave Holstein (WEEDS, Raising Hope), who wrote the pilot and will serve as showrunner. AMY LANDECKER JOINS JIM PARSONS and CLAIRE DANES IN  A KID LIKE JAKE

New York, NY –July 12, 2017 –  That’s Wonderful Productions announced today that Amy Landecker will join Jim Parsons and Claire Danes in the drama A Kid Like Jake.  Octavia Spencer, Priyanka Chopra and Ann Dowd co-star.  Based on Daniel Pearle’s celebrated Lincoln Center play, A Kid Like Jake was adapted for the big screen by Daniel Pearle and is being directed by Silas Howard, an award-winning feature film, documentary, music video and television director. Film is currently shooting in New York.

On the eve of the admissions cycle for New York City kindergartens, Alex (Danes) and Greg Wheeler (Parsons) have high hopes for their son Jake, a bright and precocious four-year-old who happens to prefer Cinderella to GI Joe. As Alex and Greg navigate their roles as parents, a rift grows between them, one that forces them to confront their own concerns about what’s best for Jake, and each other. Landecker will portray Sandra, a patient in Greg’s therapy practice.

Amy Landecker can currently be seen on the big screen in Beatriz at Dinner and the critically acclaimed series Transparent. She is represented by ICM Partners.

Jim Parsons, Todd Spiewak and Eric Norsoph are producing for That’s Wonderful Productions, alongside Paul Bernon for Burn Later and Rachel Song for XS Media. Sam Slater, David Bernon and Jackie Bernon are executive producers for Burn Later alongside Jenette Kahn and Adam Richman for Double Nickel Entertainment, Hilary Davis, Stephen Kelliher and Patrick Howson for Bankside Films, and Phil Hunt and Compton Ross for Head Gear Films.  Co-producers are Rowan Riley of Burn Later and Veronica Nickel.  CAA, which arranged financing for the film, is handling domestic sales with Bankside Films handling foreign.
